It has been another busy year with some highlights being Simon Tedeschi’s ‘Who Needs A Conductor, Anyway?’ with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and ‘Echoes of the Jazz Age’ premiere with Australian theatre legend, John Bell (ahead of a national tour in 2020), the Orava Quartet’s tour to Canada with the support of the Australia Council for the Arts and the Australian Cultural Fund, Elena Kats-Chernin’s WHITELEY for Opera Australia (libretto by Justin Fleming), Tamara-Anna Cislowska’s outstanding performances in CIRCA’s En Masse for the Lincoln Center’s White Light Festival in New York, Zubin Kanga’s Piano Ex Machina tour in Australia and Europe, Daniel Rojas’ Libertango Suite world premiere (and recent announcement as Program Leader in Composition, Digital Music and Creative Industries at Sydney University’s Sydney Conservatorium of Music) and Andrea Lam’s whirlwind tour for Canberra Symphony Orchestra, Newcastle Music Festival and Darwin ahead of Sydney Opera House’s Utzon Music Series and the Australian String Quartet’s Dunkeld Festival in 2020.
We’ll be taking a brief break from 9-19 December and will be back in the office soon after, getting ready for Sydney Festival’s Midday Salon Series in the Sydney Town Hall, 14-17 January 2020 and more. Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season.
