Cinque Artist Management was founded by director Jacqueline Thomas-Piccardi in 2011, as a boutique, Sydney-based agency providing active, strategic and professional representation for leading classical artists in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
With Cinque Artist Management, Jacqueline combines three passions: collaborating with artists of the highest calibre and professionalism, helping bring unique and wide-ranging creative programs to life, and sharing the thrill of a live performance with the largest possible audience, whether on-air, online or in a concert hall. Currently envisaged as a small roster to maintain both a high level of attention to artists and presenters, and the flexibility to pursue different projects – including producing events such as Elena Kats-Chernin’s Birthday Bash, Tamara-Anna Cislowska’s Eight Grands and Simon Tedeschi’s collaborations with John Bell – Cinque artists are known for consistently delivering outstanding and original performances and recordings, along with a special focus on bringing Australian music and creators to the world.
Having studied piano then clarinet for several years, Jacqueline began working in arts administration in 2001, obtaining a Masters of Management in Arts Management from University of Technology Sydney in 2004 with a project thesis on export models for the Australian arts. Entering the world of artist management soon after, she gained several years’ experience working as an artist manager at Australasia’s two largest classical agencies, during which time she had the honour of supporting artists of international renown including Stephen Kovacevich, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Roger Woodward and Simone Young.
Fluent in Italian and French thanks to several years of study, a Bachelor of Arts (French major) from Sydney University and some time spent living in both European countries, tertiary studies also included subjects from the Faculty of Law, the second degree that lost out to her love of the arts.
