In honour of World Piano Day (the 88th day of the year, in honour of the 88 keys on the piano) – ABC television has announced that one of its major series for 2025, The Piano, will go to air on Sunday 4 May, at 7:30pm on ABC TV and ABC iView.
One of Australia’s finest classical pianists, Andrea Lam – as the classical piano expert – alongside Grammy award-winning musician Harry Connick Jr, and extraordinary host Amanda Keller, unearth everyday pianists from all over Australia through the celebration of the street piano, with regular Australians invited to play at busy locations around the country, and given the opportunity of a lifetime.
